New Moon in Leo- In A Time of Chaos... Listen to Your Heart, The COURAGE to ACT, The Sun Always Rises Again

On July 24th, we have the powerful and magnetic New Moon at 2 degrees of Leo. New moons are a time of fresh starts, new beginnings and wiping the slate clean to be born again. Leo, the 5th zodiac sign, deals with courage, leadership, creativity, joy, children and fun! 

This is a dynamic New Moon cycle. I will go into further details below but this New Moon in Leo is making a shit ton of aspects to her other planetary brother and sisters. In particular, she is aspecting all of the outer planets so this New Moon phase will impact the ENTIRE collective as that is the ruling domain of the outer planets( Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto). A surge of power and heart driven desires is the flavor of this New Moon. The courage to see, the courage to act and the courage to follow one's heart. 

The New Moon in Leo is here to usher in a wave of bold energy mixed with a dash of childlike fun and joy. Remember the word JOY? For the most part, it seems we have forgotten what true joy means. Everyone has their own definition but within a space of joy creativity, love and grace can ensue. This New Moon in Leo is a great time to shine your light around any kind of creative or artistic achievement. It is time to rise from the ashes and honor your heart like never before! Leo is also associated with leadership and royalty. A new dawn involving taking risks is favored. Courage involves action. There is a pronounced emphasis now on connecting to your heart and listening to her wisdom. True power is not loud however.  True power is strong and soft. It requires us to be willing to stand out for what or who we believe in. This next lunar cycle will be about the power of honoring our instincts not from a place of surviving but from a stand of thriving!

The New Moon in Leo as mentioned above, will be making a LOT of aspects to the outer planets. The first aspect(s) will be a trine (120 degree aspect) to retrograde Saturn, the planet of structure, order and obligation + Neptune, the planet of spirituality, illusion and fantasy who are both in the sign of Aries. The New Moon in a positive flow to retrograde Saturn/Neptune will be about emotional regulation that comes from a deep spiritual place. Many will be asked to follow an intuitive hunch and many creative projects can finally become more structured and supported with this aspect. The second aspect of this New Moon will be an opposition(180 degree aspect) to retrograde Pluto, the planet of death/rebirth, transformation and regeneration who is currently in the sign of Aquarius. The New Moon in an opposition to Pluto will create powerful and potentially life changing alterations to our emotions. Something emotionally must die to create the space for our desires to truly flourish. This could be met with a stubborn resistance so being flexible is key to success with this aspect. The final aspect of this New Moon in Leo will be a sextile (60 degree aspect) to Uranus, the planet of change, shocks and revolution who is currently in the sign of Gemini. The New Moon in flow with Uranus could add some out of this world inventiveness to these heart driven risks. Emotions that are proud and BOLD could come outta nowhere.

For those born with their Sun, Moon or Ascendant signs on or close to 2 degrees of Leo( or the other fixed signs of: Taurus, Scorpio or Aquarius) expect to see BIG and BOLD new beginnings. The areas of life that will be impacted most are: the physical body, family/home, relationships and the career.
