Mercury Retrograde in Aquarius- Intellectual Visions Connected to the

On January 14th, Mercury the planet of communication, contracts and business begins his retrograde motion at 14 degrees of Aquarius moving all the way back to 24 degrees of Capricorn before turning direct on February 3rd. Aquarius, the 11th zodiac sign is all about intellectual pursuits, freedom, independence and genius creations. Capricorn, the 10th zodiac sign is all about work, structures, control, karma and our mission.

Mercury retrograde in Aquarius will bring forth past visions of genius ideas and a call for sovereignty and freedom. No other sign likes to be free of restrictions as my fellow independent Aquarian brother and sisters. A wave of progressive thinking connected to humanity will also be present. Many folks could receive lightning bolt realizations that will rock their world as Uranus, the planet of innovation, wake ups and shake ups rules this unpredictable sign.

Mercury's retrograde movement could also bring back past situations, people and projects from our past. Ex lovers and old friendships could pop back into our lives for review and reflection. We could also see all kinds of technology outages, snafus and mental confusion and mayhem.

While Mercury is in Aquarius he will be making a tense 90 degree square aspect to retrograde Uranus, the planet of surprises, electricity and sudden events, who is currently in the sign of Taurus. Mercury retrograde in Aquarius square Uranus in Taurus could lead to serious communication breakdowns connected to the internet, phone systems and the electrical grid itself. I also expect to continue to see funky weather patterns and this aspect could herald more unpredictable weather such as earthquakes, tsunamis and other extreme weather conditions. This aspect will be particularly strong as Uranus stations in mid January to go direct on January 18th. Being as mindful as possible of your electronics, cars and devices is advisable.

This Mercury retrograde cycle is an excellent transit to look back to old thinking patterns that we would like to transform and release. Detachment is also a specialty of the sign of Aquarius. There could be many lessons from the universe at this time around releasing outdated principles that no longer resonate with our being. We will be asked to access past thoughts in order to recreate what could be possible for our future. There will be all kinds of magical thought processes showing up to awaken our consciousness around human connection as well.
