On August 22nd/23rd, we have the first of 2 New Moons, otherwise known as a "Black New Moon" with the arrival of the 0 degree New Moon in Virgo. Black Moon months are special and profound. This is even more the case when they involve a Total Solar Eclipse ( which happens on September 21st with a New Moon at 29 degrees of Virgo). As with all New Moons, there is an impetus to begin again, create and start major new projects and plans. Virgo, the 6th zodiac sign is all about order, grounded awareness, precision, service and healing.
The Black New Moon in Virgo is here to begin an epic journey around grounding our spirits and awakening our minds with simplistic rituals. Since this is a Black New Moon period, we are being introduced to new routines and organization practices that we will want to sustain well beyond these next 30 days. This is a wonderful time to be in nature and slow our pace from the heavy Solar energy of the last few months. Planning, precision and getting to work are all characteristics of this new moon.
