Venus Retrograde in Scorpio/Libra- Death/Rebirth Cycles of Love, Money and What is Fair and Equitable, Past Love(s) Return Oooo Laaalaa

On October 3rd, Venus, the planet of love, money and comfort, turns retrograde at 8 degrees of Scorpio and moves all the way back to 22 degrees of Libra before turning direct on November 13th. For the next 40 days and 40 nights, Venus will descend backwards causing upheaval and redirection within our relationships, money, comforts and beauty. We will be asked to re-examine what true intimacy, shared resources and love means to us and how we have limited our capacity to receive its gift or how we have fallen short of accepting what we truly deserve.

Every 18 months, Venus turns retrograde and next to Mars retrograde is the least common retrograde of the inner planets. In this current retrograde cycle of Venus, the planet of love, money and luxury begins her backwards motion as an evening star. Evening star Venus is more of the yin energy of Venus which is more gentle, feminine and graceful. After her conjunction with the Sun on October 24th, she will reappear as a morning star for the next 18 months. Morning star Venus is more of the yang energy of Venus and is more aggressive, proactive and visible. Over the course of the next 18 months, we will be willing to take more risks and be more bold when it comes to matters of the heart and who and what truly matters in our lives. The last time Venus was retrograde in Scorpio/Libra was from October 5 - November 16, 2018. You might want to look back to that time ( if you remember lol) to see what was happening. Similar themes and situations could arise again or deeper levels of awareness and healing could take place from that last retrograde cycle. Do you remember what was going on at that time?

Venus retrograde will begin in her sign of detriment, Scorpio, where these themes will be more intense and profound until October 25th when she moves into her sign of exaltation in the sign of Libra. For the first part, Venus retrograde in Scorpio will urge us to strip away any falsehoods or masks and deal with what it means to truly emerge with another or even with our darker, more shadow side when it comes to love, money and luxury. This is the time to reflect, revise and redirect who and what truly makes us feel alive and who or what truly brings up our more primitive and shadow sides. This will apply with or without a partner as the journey always first begins within the self. Secrets and hidden motives within our own subconscious and in our relationships will at times painfully become clear. The healing begins when we are willing to dive deep into these subconscious patterns within love, money and relationships. 

For the second part of Venus retrograde when she enters the sign of Libra on October 25th, we will be asked to focus more on equality within our connections and how we might downplay our true desires and needs just to "keep the peace" and not "rock the boat". This could also play out where we overgive to others out of the subconscious fear of not being liked or valued by others at the detriment of revealing what we truly want or deserve. The healing with Venus retrograde in Libra will be around our ability to be fair and balanced within how we express our desires while also allowing others to be fully expressed within their own desires. Someone's desires and needs AREN'T more or less important than your own. True and powerful unions require both parties to be honored and respected. A lot of break ups or separations could occur within romantic and business partnerships now if this power dynamic was set up without such equality being honored and acknowledged. On the flip side, reunions with old lovers are highly likely but before jumping back into such unions, ask whether this past flame's reentry into your life is a blessing or lesson?? This will become very clear, especially once Venus turns direct on November 14th. 

For those with their Sun, Moon or Ascendant signs( and will include Venus here) between the degrees of 8 degrees of Scorpio- 22 degrees of Libra will be most impacted by this retrograde phase. Major reversals, separations and aha moments connected to love, money and value will be up for review. Something has to "die" in order to be reborn and brought into balance and harmony.
