May 2021- Eclipse Time Is Back Baby, Earthly Pleasures That Lead to Whimsical Fantasies, The Past Returns But ...A Change Is A Comin

Welcome to May 2021! Wow we are literally over a quarter of the way through the year already! How the hell did this happen? Is it me or does 2021 seem like a rocket blasting out of space? I guess considering 2020 was so ssssllllooowww, everything just seems like it happening super quickly this year.  

May 2021 is sure to be a month to remember. May in fact happens to be my favorite month of the year. The flowers are blooming, the birds are chirping and the weather( at least here in the Northern Hemisphere) is becoming warmer and more pleasant. Venus rules over this season and it raises hope and faith again. At least that is my personal experience. 

May 2021 at least for the first half is quite pleasant and serene. The second half is a mixed bag. 

We have now entered eclipse season and this is where things can get turned upside down, flipped over with miracles and mayhem sure to ensue. Eclipses always represent change, unexpected events and reversals. I personally love them( I am a Uranian being of change) as they hold a special kind of magic and promise. By the middle part of May, we will begin to feel the rumblings of such change. 

This next eclipse cycle still involves the Sagittarius/Gemini axis. Both signs deal with: communication, education, excitement, movement, malleability and progress. If you happen to have your: Sun, Moon, Ascendant or IC(4th house cusp) DC (7th house cusp) MC (10th house cusp) or even personal planets(Mercury-Mars) in Gemini and Sagittarius, prepare for life to change in big and massive ways. 

The closer your planets/angles are to the actual degree of the eclipses( 5 degrees of Sag and 19 degrees of Gemini) then these changes will be even more dramatic and life altering. Don't be afraid. The best way to plan for eclipses is through surrender and grace. Sometimes the universe knows best if we trust her to lead us to where we are meant to land. Even if we didn't originally plan on it. I personally have my Ascendant at 1 degree of Sagittarius so if you are jittery in your boots, you aren't alone my lovely, lol. Even if you don't have Gemini or Sagittarius within the mentioned planets/angles, you will still be impacted by these upcoming eclipses. Hold on and get ready for one HELL of a ride! Again.. the only way OUT is THROUGH. It is about to get gnarly so hold onto your hats...off we GO!

I will begin the month in the middle when it begins to get super interesting and juicy.

On May 11th, we have a glorious and very grounded New Moon at 18 degrees of Taurus. New Moons come after a gestation and resting period and signify fresh perspectives, new initiatives and the slate being wiped clean. Taurus, the 2nd zodiac sign, deals with money, values, resources and self worth. The New Moon in Taurus will bring in an earthy and stable energy of prosperity and abundance. This is one of my fav new moons of 2021. La Luna, new within the sign of the bull is a great time to begin a new job, find a new side income or revamp your garden and your wardrobe. Solid and serene are my two adjectives for this New Moon in Taurus. At the same time, Mars, the planet of action, aggression and willpower, currently in Cancer will make a positive sextile(60 degree aspect) to Uranus, the planet of change,progress and invention in the sign of Taurus. Mars in Cancer in a harmonious aspect to Uranus in Taurus will have us get creative and inventive with our resources, perhaps connected to our home and family. This is a great aspect for spring cleaning, remodeling or even purchasing property. The Taurus New Moon will bring in stability and patience and allow us to take our dreams and plans to the next level with grounded intention and fortitude.

Moving along to May 20th, the Sun which represents our life force, ego and masculinity enters the whimsical sign of Gemini. Gemini, the 3rd zodiac sign, deals with communication, curiosity, wonder, the intellect and learning. We shift from the very solid and fixed earth sign of Taurus over to the very malleable and mutable air sign of Gemini. All of a sudden we are here, there and everywhere. Our minds could become quite active, along with our mouths, lol! Communication in all forms is Gemini's specialty so expect to become quite a bit chattier and ready to explore and seek adventures of all kinds. 

Moving to the end of the month, on May 26th, we have the massive and soon to be unforgettable Super Full Moon Lunar Eclipse happening at 5 degrees of Sagittarius. Full Moons are already highly emotional and bring the whole lot of our feelings to the surface to be purged and released. Considering this is a SuperMoon and Lunar Eclipse all in one is significant. Expect these emotions to be quite over the top in nature. Lunar Eclipses, bring in 10x the power of manifestations, completions and endings. Life for many will never be the same after this doozy of an event. Especially for those folks mentioned at the beginning of the article. Sagittarius, the 9th zodiac sign, deals with teaching, wisdom, travel, freedom and adventure. The Super Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Sagittarius will bring up the TRUTH and nothing but the TRUTH. Expect to see quite a few people's viewpoints coming to the surface to be expressed and acknowledged. Considering Sagittarius rules international travel, this is the first time we could actually see quite a few people being able to finally travel abroad. There are certainly going to be big issues brought up also around education and immigration. This could be when the so-called "vaccination passports" begin. At the very least, there will be major discussions on how to manage a re emerging economy and travelling again abroad. 

Finally on May 29, Mercury, the trickster planet which rules communication, contracts and travel will begin yet again his retrograde path within the sign he rules of Gemini. This Mercury retrograde will be particularly noticeable as we are in the middle of eclipse season and Mercury is in his home sign. A planet in his/her home sign is always super powerful and pronounced. For good or for bad. During Mercury's retrograde phase in Gemini till June 23rd, expect all kinds of communication mishaps, travel delays, business mishaps and technology breakdowns. I wouldn't advise on buying major purchases such as laptops, cars or other devices during this time if you can help it. Our minds could be all over the shop with this Mercury retrograde. The best advice I have is to go back over and reflect, revise and redirect any business deals, contracts or written materials we are interested in. This is not the best time to proceed with new projects and plans, again if you can help it. 

May 2021 is a month of mixed energies and great potential for change and progress. It's a funny mix.. earth and air. I believe it technically makes.. dust, lol? We will have a solid footing for at least the first half of the month but things could get wild and funky in the second half. My advice is to lay the groundwork early in the month and chillax and let things flow in the last half. May 2021 wants to remind you that if you have been in rut or just feeling the blahs of life, change and transformation are always around the corner. Nothing lasts the same and that is the beauty and magic of this human existence. Over this next eclipse cycle, you will learn a whole new meaning to the words "go with the flow". May 2021 promises to align your heart and soul to the path it was meant to be on.. even if you didn't initially envision or plan it to be. Isn't that how life always works though? May 2021 is here to bring in an awakening to what and who we truly value, the understanding of the cycle of change and to remind us that even in the most uncertain times.. at our core.. is a warrior of light that is always ready to for the next adventure and transformation.
